This tour wants you to plunge into the vastness of a land rich in artistic and natural treasures, feeling free and relaxed.
You will discover the Sicilian nature, varied and luxuriant, with its spectacular views such as the one of “Timpa di Acireale“, a lava balcony overlooking the sea that hides small beaches and mooring points. At the Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro, you’ll be surrounded by bays and the green and blue nuances of the sea. You’ll enjoy both the beauty of Scala dei Turchi – a milk-white cliff that seems to have been carefully carved by an artist – and the picturesque paint offered by Gole dell’Alcantara.
When at Torre del Filosofo, you’ll be in front of an enchanting view that extends to the sea. Accompanied by mountaineering guides you’ll walk on the volcano’s slopes, whose ground looks like plowed land, and whose consistency is instead solid and porous, typical of the historic flows that gradually created the amazing landscape of Etna.
You will discover the art and the history of Sicily, between medieval hamlets and typical alleys, experiencing different historic periods throughout unique evidences such as the Cattedrale di Sant’Agata and the lava stone elephant of Catania. You’ll visit Palermo, a city rich in monuments, residence of Emirs and kings. Symbol of the Arabian-Norman period, the Sicilian capital also shows many examples of byzantine art from the medieval age. All this is combined with an ancient heritage consisting of Doric temples and archeological parks like the Segesta one and its suggestive Tempio Solitario.
When in the most well-known marine hamlets of south-eastern Sicily, you can smell the perfume of the sea. You’ll get lost in the fisherman’s villages, like Marzamemi and Portopalo that live in their own atmosphere far from space and time. You’ll dive right into the crystalline waters of the Vendicari marine reserve to the Isola delle Correnti. Sicily is excitement, oasis of peace and beauty.
