Urbino and other historical towns
Immerse yourself in the cradle of the renaissance

Urbino, the pride of the Italian Renaissance is the birthplace of the architect Bramante and the famous artist Raffaello. Its Palazzo Ducale, the jewel of the Italian Renaissance, has been home to the National Gallery of the Marche since 1912. Urbino also houses the Raffaello Academy, countless churches of considerable importance, as well as the Rocca di Albornoz. You will visit an extraordinary urban and architectural combination: the castle of Gradara, elected the most beautiful Italian village of 2018. And then, the medieval city of Mondavio, located on top of a hill overlooking the Adriatic Sea and the Apennines. The city is still surrounded by its ancient walls and defended by a mighty fortress designed by the architect Francesco di Giorgio Martini. Today the fortress houses the Museum of historical re-enactment and armory, with costumes and weapons ranging from the XV to the XVIII century. Finally, we recommend a guided tour of Fano, a city rich in historical and artistic testimonies.

Furlo Gorge and Natural Park of Mount San Bartolo
Natural Suggestive Landscape

A short break in the Furlo Gorge. A true paradise marked by the Candigliano river that flows between the imposing rocky walls of the gorge, where the evocative landscape joins the prodigious wealth of nature which boasts unique specimens of flora and fauna.
You’ll admire the splendid landscapes of the panoramic road that crosses the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park.

After a delicious traditional lunch in Gradara, you will return to Fano, where we recommend you taste the famous Moretta Fanese, a typical alcoholic coffee drink, listening to the legend of how the fishermen of Fano invented it.

In Mondavio you’ll also visit a historical shop where pecorino is produced inside a tuff cave. The tour continues with a visit to a local winery, an expert will show you the family business, followed by a tasting of local wine and extra virgin olive oil.
