For art lovers, a six day tour that takes you to the center of the history and culture of Emilia Romagna, the region of art. You’ll visit places of art, Bologna and its covered market, towers and medieval villages. You will able to learn the technique of painting on gold leaf and the art of mosaic. Finally, you will discover Ravenna and the medieval villages of Brisighella and Bertinoro.

Exclusive accommodation
Art and culture

You’ll experience the overnight at Torre dei Prendiparte one of the few Tower remaining in the center of Bologna. A guided tour will be organized, during which you can learn about all aspects of the accomodation that will host you for a couple of night. At the end, you’ll land on the panoramic terrace at the top of theTower at 60 meters, where you will be offered a welcome drink. The third night, after the painting course, you will sleep in the apartment in Palazzo di Bisano where you will admire the works of the artist and experience the atmosphere of art in first person. The last two nights will be at Casa Masoli, an ideal place for those who prefer the atmosphere of a private home with quality service. The Masoli family collects works by the famous artist Ruffini from Ravenna, so you can admire watercolors, lithographs and drawings of the famous painter in all the rooms of the house.

Visit of the Towers
The beauties of Bologna

Guided tour of the Towers, symbol of the city of Bologna. Today’s estimates speak of a number of towers, more or less high, which must have been between 90 and 100, built by the noblest families of the city, probably they were a symbol of wealth and power but also an instrument of offense and defense, in a era in which the conflict between the Papacy and the Holy Roman Empire was strong and between those who lined up on one side or the other. You will then visit the Art Gallery Tratti d’Autore . The hairdresser, Giampaolo Grimaldi, who made it a creative laboratory and artistic expression with his Neapolitan strength in the use of the tools of hairdressing. Tratti d’autore become the place where art, design and fashion meet.

Pinacoteca of Bologna
Painting course at Palazzo di Bisano

Visit to the Pinacoteca of Bologna, totally renewed in 1997, the Pinacoteca now presents, in addition to the 30 exhibition rooms, the Sala delle Belle Arti  and modernly equipped rooms set up in the basement, thanks to which the building hosts temporary exhibitions of medium and large scale, educational activities, seminars and conferences. In the afternoon, transfer to the hills of Bologna in the art studio of the Painter Musolesi, where the course painting on gold leaf will be held.

Byzantine Mosaics of Ravenna

Ravenna is famous throughout the world for its mosaics which are largely the legacy of the Byzantine glory of which the city was the capital, and this excellence is due to the fact that it preserves the richest world heritage of ancient mosaics of the fifth and sixth centuries. Eight of its monuments have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for the supreme artistic mastery of the art of mosaic. You’ll attend a italian mosaic workshop, where the Liverani mosaicist organizes workshops with a technique to make jewels and various objects for the home unique and that are appreciated all over the world.

Medieval Villages
Brisighella and Bertinoro

A guided tour of the Medieval Villages of Brisighella and Bertinoro with tasting of typical dishes and local wines. The village of Brisighella, composed of a maze of cobbled lanes, stretches of walls, stairs carved in plaster, encloses the ancient Via del Borgo better known as Via degli Asini. Bertinoro, a classic example of a medieval village, due to its dominant position on the plain below, was given the nickname of balcony of Romagna.

In Bologna you’ll have lunch at the Mercato di Mezzo, one of the most representative historical places of the Bolognese food culture, a few strolls away Piazza Maggiore: since the Middle Ages this has been the crossroad of the meeting, of the flavors and of the commerce of the traditional gastronomic product of the city. Gourmet dinner prepared only for you at Palazzo di Bisano by the staff of Tortello Ribelle. Lunch at the Ca de Vin Restaurant, a place set in a fifteenth century palace. The wine shop offers, on the nineteenth-century shelves, a selection of bottles of the most prestigious wines of Romagna and reserves a corner to books and magazines precious to the lovers of dialect and the popular traditions of Romagna. Dinner at the Cinema Restaurant Alexander, cinema until 2002, when it changes destination and becomes a restaurant.  The atmosphere is as sophisticated as that of an old black and white movie but, at the same time welcoming, creative and warm like a contemporary New York restaurant. Finish the tour with a tasting at the Osteria Ca ’de Be’
